Director's Lab

Monday, April 24th, 8:30pm

The first showing of Director's Lab NYC is at 8:30 next Monday, April 24th, at Five Myles Gallery in Crown Heights. Invite anyone, it's free.

Murder in the Cathedral by TS Eliot, directed by Dan Rogers, with Alston Brown, Ian McNeely, Olivia Khoshatefeh, Peter Martin, and Greg Fallick.

Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails devised piece, directed by Myah Shein and choreographed by James Palmer.

Private Lives by Noel Coward, directed by Kristan Seemel, with Charlotte Graham and Griffin Sharps.

Devised solo performance by Ariel Estrada, about his experience in a martial arts cult, directed by Flordelino Lagundino.

The Directors Lab gives space to work on a question, to make a huge mess, to test a hypothesis. We give directors free space to make something alive, working with game actors in short bursts but over a long period of time. We want to make something happen, not something that is finished.

As we move forward, we want to expand our community and bring more directors into the rotation, including people who haven't directed much but want to learn more. Hope to see you there!
